Early on, we committed ourselves to a corporate management approach which is oriented towards a careful use of resources. We strive at all times to avoid or minimise harm to the environment arising from the production and use of our products.

We consider environmental protection and preservation of natural resources to be an important aspect of corporate management.

• We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance and take all necessary measures to reduce environmental pollution, and whenever possible avoid it altogether.
• We determine the environmental impacts of our business processes through continuous analysis. The environmental compatibility of new processes and materials is assessed.
• We keep our customers, the general public and the relevant authorities informed about our commitment.

Since 1997, we have regularly reported on our environmental management system, resource use and other important environmentally relevant key figures.

We publish a sustainability report once a year. For the first time, this year's Sustainability Report is oriented on the international GRI standard. The GRI standard is the most widely used international standard for sustainability reporting. The publisher is the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
